Dear New Jersey Physical Therapist,

 

As you are aware the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners changed the continuing education renewal requirements regarding ethics and jurisprudence in 2008.    CEUniversity now offers an expeditious and undemanding way to fulfill your continuing education needs in the comfort of your home, office, whenever YOU are available.  We have added an Ethics and Jurisprudence course, each worth 2 credits for only $20 a credit.  The New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapist Examiners (NJSBPTE) mandates every licensee to include a 2 credit Jurisprudence course and a 2 credit Ethics course as part of the required 30 biennial credits beginning with the 2008-2010 renewal.

 

According to NJSBPTE 13:39A-9.3

"13:39A-9.3 Acceptable course offerings; credit hour calculation

(c) The Board shall grant a maximum of 10 of the mandatory 30 continuing education credits required in a biennial renewal period of licensed physical therapists and licensed physical therapist assistants from any or all of the following:

1. Successful completion of videotape, audiotape, computer media, Internet, journal, or correspondence courses, programs or seminars: a maximum of 10 credits per course, program or seminar. The course, program or seminar shall include an examination at its end. Credit for correspondence and other individual study courses or programs shall be provided only in the renewal period in which the course is completed with a successful final examination; "
